Warm congratulations to Justine Salam, who has been named a 2020 L’Oréal Canada-FCRF Laureate by the Executive Committee of the France-Canada Research Fund.
Justine is receiving a 2020 FCRF-L’Oréal Canada Award For Women in Science, connected to both her PhD work and her RA work. The objective of this $5,000 fellowship is to recognize the exceptional work of young women in science who are passionate about their research and to encourage them to expand the frontiers of their respective disciplines. Established in 1998 and managed by the Fondation L’Oréal in partnership with UNESCO, the For Women in Science program seeks to improve the representation of women in scientific careers, strong in the conviction that the world needs science, and science needs women. Over the past 22 years, the program has supported and raised the profile of more than 3,500 researchers from 118 countries.
Justine will receive her award at a reception in November 2021 at the Embassy of France in Ottawa.
